Kenai Fjords Tours and Price William Sound Glacier Cruises Recognized with C.R.U.I.S.E. service awards
Princess Cruises has announced the winners of its ninth annual C.R.U.I.S.E. service awards for Alaska and the Northwest, and once again CIRI Alaska Tourism has received accolades.
The awards acknowledge the importance of local tour operators and their staff and the vital role they play in a passenger's Alaska cruise experience. The most popular tours, individual guides and dock representatives are determined by passenger surveys taken throughout the season, and are chosen from the extensive line-up of more than 200 Alaska shore excursion options offered on Princess ships.
"The Alaska tour operators we work with do a wonderful job of continuing Princess' culture of service once passengers go ashore," said Charlie Ball, president of Princess Tours. "It's always gratifying to receive so many positive comments about the experiences passengers have on their Alaska shore adventures. These awards are to recognize and thank those who make the shore experience special for our visitors."
In Seward, Kenai Fjords Tours was once again recognized by Princess passengers as providing the best shore excursion. Their favorite? The Resurrection Bay Wildlife Cruise, which brings guests close to marine life and the magnificent Bear Glacier, and makes an exclusive stop at Fox Island for a grilled wild Alaskan salmon dinner.
In Whittier, Prince William Sound Glacier Cruises earned its fourth in a string of back-to-back C.R.U.I.S.E awards for the Blackstone Glacier Adventure Cruise. The 4 hour cruise takes passengers to the face of active tidewater glaciers, and offers amenities such as a free Alaskan King Crab cake lunch and family-friendly marine science experiments en route.
